Whilst we bagged the best hotel balcony we’ve had to date, I quickly got too swept up in sunbathing, cocktail drinking and ogling at the beautiful sea view to make good use of it for outfit shots during our holiday. Instead, I got a bit selfie-happy in our huge, wooden hotel mirror each night to keep a track of my favourite new holiday pieces to share with you all.
This dress was a complete bargain at £19 on ASOS and I’ve fallen head over heels for it. It’s comfy and super flattering but with the thigh high splits and floatiness I still feel sassy AF when I’m wearing it. I have a feeling this’ll be getting worn far too much over the warmer months. The only negative thing to note is that it is completely backless which means it’s not bra-friendly, but I have been making it work with some well positioned tape!
Admittedly it was the colour that drew me to this skirt (another bargain on ASOS) but I don’t own any bright skirts and it’s another new favourite addition to my wardrobe. I’ve even been pairing it with a thicker top and leather jacket on cooler days back in the UK as well as with shirts for the office, so it ticks the versatile box too.
Everyone and their mum has this tee and I can see why. It’s so easy to pair with any outfit and it’s super soft which makes it lovely to wear. I wouldn’t normally shop in the Topshop Petite section however it is worth considering with this one as I tried it on in the normal range and it was way too long and baggy, even in a small. I haven’t worn a denim skirt in forever and I love the ripped, more worn-in look of this one. Another piece that’ll be easy to dress up or down, plus I’m totally digging the fact it takes me right back to the 90’s!
I’ve had this dress for a while as I bought it for a fancier meal on my friend’s hen do and I loved wearing it then with heels and bolder makeup, but it worked just as well as a more casual option on holiday. I love the bardot top and the fact it’s so easy to throw on and look put together with minimal effort, win!
I think shopping for and planning holiday outfits is without a doubt one of my favourite parts of holidaying, so I hope this gives you some inspo if you’re planning a beach break any time soon (I’m super jealous if you are)! I’ll leave you with a couple of other pieces I’d also bought for the trip, which I did wear but totally forgot to take photos of.
Please do let me know which shops you think are killin’ it for summer on the high street right now – I have another sunshine break planned for August and feel like I need to mix up my shopping a bit!
